As a parent, I don't choose the team my kid plays on but I do pay the same as everyone else. If they want to pay me for my son to play then bench him all you want. As long as I am paying the same as everyone else it is equal time for all not matter the situation or age group. It is the only way they learn how to deal with all situations (winning, losing close games, PP,PK etc...)
Benching as disciplinary tool I am fine with.
