At one point I believe Airbus was looking at the feasibility of putting an electric motor on the nose gear to taxi the aircraft to and from the runway. Thus saving fuel for those parts of the flight.

Maybe some ford ecoboost needed?

I guess nuclear aviation would be a tad risky
