They insinuated tons of times that they wanted Edwin back even after they signed Morales. That is pure BS. They ran those "timeline" articles through sportsnet after.
The fact of the matter is, the Jays made an offer they knew Edwin wouldn't take until he saw what market was, quickly signed his replacement essentially the minute free agency started and quickly pulled the offer when they saw he might actually take it.
Quit with the whole charade. If they wanted him, he'd be here. Don't make the offer and pull it, simply say we are moving on and do so.
What's done is done, and there's no point debating it again, but that interview sure doesn't make it look like Edwin simply chose to go to Cleveland.
