well, i don't currently own any pets, but, this thread has certainly brought back all the fun memories of pets from my past....some had to be put down, some ran away...either way, its sad, and i'm really sorry you have to go thru this sample.
a good friend of mine just recently put her cat down after owning her for 22 years. she was devastated.
hug him lots tonight and tmrw, you'll know he's at peace, and is ok with the decision you've made for him.
