I haven't watched it.
I don't think I need to to judge the obvious parental failure that occurred here.
It's too simple to say they were seduced by Michael; that gives them victim status they don't deserve.
That's no different than all of Michael's defenders giving him victim status due to how he was raised and what his father put him through.
Either they're both awarded the excuse card, or neither.
