I think the league didn't imagine a double champion at the end of the two seasons but that's what happened.

I think the league has done everything it can to give Forge every possible chance of success along the way. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it rigged, but there were questionable arrangements at every step. The farce of the finals was just one more chance for them to become “champions”, despite them not really winning anything.
