Now that he’s experienced it himself, he’s realized that they’re just a naturally slow team that can’t check and can’t play at a desirable pace just like the previous coaches. Their finishing ability is also abysmal, but that’s been a common theme now for years now so that’s no surprise. I’m not a massive Sutter fan like many posters on CP, but I actually do find his honesty kind of refreshing. When he calls out players for being too slow or for not finishing, it kind of reinforces the things I’ve been rambling on CP for years.
Yeah, I’ve had similar thoughts.

Sutter stating over and over that this team doesn’t have the talent is an oddly accurate, and damning condemnation of the team Treliving has spent 7 years building.

I wonder what Tree thinks when Sutter is openly out there almost every post game saying this team doesn’t have the skill to score at a high level in this league and that they need to play a specific (defensive) way to find any success.

The more this season plays out, and the more I look at the prospect pool…Treliving can’t get far enough away from this organization quick enough for me.

Yet, I still think he’ll continue to be employed and we’ll likely see some more futures leveraged this summer.
