I find it bizarre. I'm a big F1 fan and I love playing F1 video games but watching other people play video games is painfully boring. I'm shocked at how big a deal online racing is from a spectator POV. I even understand competing for the racers themselves. Sim racing gets pretty intense and some F1 teams have even reached out and given opportunities to the best racers.
But to actually sit and watch someone else do it? Beyond watching for a few minutes to see how crazy good they are, I just can't get into it.
