Congrats on your bike. I love my Treks.
You definitely want to get some bike shorts but still be ready for some pain until your butt gets used to the seat.
If you're really low on funds, check out Sports Chek and they should have some pretty basic shorts to get you started. You will eventually want to get a better pair for longer rides though.
