Mine was similar last year. I ended up having to open the cleanout in the basement(watch out for water in the pipe!) and snake 25 feet. Old cast iron pipes lithified with stuff, I spent a few hours just reaming it. Fortunately it was the dedicated sink line and the clog was before the wye, so only gross kitchen stuff.


Fun with old houses! So ya, if your kids are going to keep you busy, might be better to pay for this one. I never use draino as I almost always end up having to open something up at some point, and don't want to have to deal with that stuff. I tired all the above, hot water and dish soap, vinegar and baking soda etc. But the clog was solid. Probably still need a pro to use one of those powered spinner things one day...
