Even in a losing season Sutter is trying to teach mindset. He has come back from 3-0 down, so I don't question him in this space. It is practice and mental training that leads to being able to execute in those scenarios. I know it seems stupid...but I believe it's these details and leaning on these experiences that carry you in the playoffs.
He wants the players in a playoff mindset because that's how hard they have to play to even have a chance at making the dance...every damn night.
