I'm a very green photographer, but I've always been the first to spot things!

So all I've been doing is picking random country roads with little traffic where you can drive slow and keep your eyes peeled. I look for anything that sticks out slightly in the leafless brush. Most wildlife are more active, or at least visible in this weather too. I learned from an experienced photographer friend the other day to look far ahead up the road on top of power poles for Snowy Owls. It's easy to miss them when you're looking down lower. The one I took above is the first Snowy I've seen for many years, but that same day we saw 4 different ones.

I went out today for a few hours. No owls, but lots of deer, coyotes, and hawks of course. Saw a couple moose again as well.
