It's been a while without any updates to the thread. Let's see how the Flames' prospects have been doing...

Mitchell Mattson (Michigan State) : The Spartans have an overall record of 10-15-5; a Conference record of 6-10-4; and are currently ranked 29th in the Pairwise rankings that determine the 16 teams who will play in the NCAA tournament. They have 4 games remaining in the regular season before the Big 10 tournament. They'll need to win the Big 10 in order to play in the national tournament.

Mattson has played in 14 of MSU's 30 games and has still yet to register his first college point.

Demetrios Koumontzis (Arizona State) : The Sun Devils currently have a 19-10-1 record and are 9th in the Pairwise rankings, which gives them a very good chance of making the NCAA tournament. They have 4 games remaining in the regular season, playing their final game on March 2. Because they aren't a part of any Conference, if they do make the NCAA tournament, they will go 4 weeks between games.

Koumontzis is having a respectable freshman season, with 14 points (2G/12A) in 30 games played. He is 2nd on the team for points by a freshman. He had 2 points (1G/1A) in his last game on February 2.

Emilio Pettersen (Denver University) : The Pioneers have a 15-6-4 overall record, with a 7-6-2 record in their Conference. They are currently 7th in the Pairwise. They still have 9 games remaining before the NCHC tournament (7 of which are against the bottom 3 teams in the NCHC).

Pettersen continues to have an excellent freshman season, although he has slightly fallen off his point-a-game pace. He currently has 22 points (6G/16A) in 25 games. He is second-overall on the team in points and leads the team in assists as well as freshman points and goals.

Checking in on the Adam Fox signing watch...

Harvard currently has a 13-7-3 overall record, with a 9-5-2 record against the ECAC. They are currently 13th in the Pairwise, which would put them on the bubble for making the NCAA tournament. Depending on how things go, their season could end as early as March 9 or as late as April 13 (after the NHL regular season is over).

Fox has cooled off from his early-season pace, but he still leads the Crimson with 32 points (8G/24A) in 23 games. Last night, Harvard defeated BU in the Beanpot Tournament consolation game. Fox had one goal in the victory, which was his 100th NCAA point (20G/80A) in his 87th game.

While he's still having a strong season, he's probably not doing so well that he'll overcome the senior/forward bias in the Hobey Baker voting.
