Flames got good value for a guy that couldn't find the next gear here. He then moved on and has been playing well since. Why can't we be happy for the return and also happy for Bennett's stretch of good play? I think what gets forgotten is that Bennett asked for a trade.
If you consider the trade request and expansion draft, the trade is easier to swallow.
