With that being said, I'm looking forward to seeing some hockey at the Nich. It's been years since that arena has been full for hockey and that atmosphere should be intense.

This weekend I was in Taber at the arena and a guy I know was there too, he said he was glad the Hurricanes didn't look farther into usigg that crappy arena. He is a manager at City Hall so I asked him if he knew about this process. Somebody from City Facilities looked at the events calendar, saw no events booked and confirmed that the Enmax Centre was available. They didn't talk to either the Hurricanes or the Enmax Centre. Enmax centre was extremely mad at the City over this. They both could have caused a bigger commotion over this but chose to not look like the bad guys.
