I was a little concerned about my forwards' defense. Clutterbuck and Bellemare have a nice 89 DF rating and Sheahan is okay at 80, but the rest are either guys like James Neal (PP only, for obvious reasons) or Lars Eller, who has a nice DF rating but who I don't want to play on both the PP and PK.

So I went out and got Dowd, who has a 67 overall rating and an 89 DF, and Archibald, who has an 84. (Yep I traded Rooney, who has an 88, but he's a UFA in the NHL and I'm not confident that he's going to be super relevant going forward like Dowd and Archibald).

Zaitsev is a decent dman but I wanted to clear some money and make room for Justin Schultz.
