I'm with Koodo. I bought a phone for less than $200 and went prepaid. My monthly bill is $17.25 which includes unlimited texts. I then add data and phone minutes to it. I think 1 GB of data costs me about $25 but that will last me about 4-5 months since I mainly only use the internet when on WiFi. I think 100 talk minutes are around $10 but that will probably last me a year.
This kind of plan isn't for everyone but it works for me.
