City lawyer is suing the city for not honouring her $500,000 severance agreement.
Im with the city on this one.
"Calgary Police Service general counsel Stephanie Morson sued the city, the force and Chief Mark Neufeld in December after the force refused to honour the agreement she reached with Chaffin in 2018."
"It claims Chaffin became “close personal friends” with Morson while he was a deputy chief in 2015."
"The city’s statement claims Morson and Chaffin “collaborated . . . in a joint strategy for an improper purpose and using improper means to provide substantial and unjustified compensation” for the lawyer before the end of the former chief’s time with Calgary police."
