Nailed it.
This could have been so easy, and highlights just how little you have to do to go from a design that would have been perfectly fine to an abomination. All they had to do was have the maple leaf logo just be one solid colour - red with a white outline, or white with a red outline. Then make the sleeves a solid colour. Doesn't even matter what colour - red, white, back, all fine.
