Foodies may scoff, but The Keg is pretty consistent and is pretty good for kids too. That's my sister's go-to birthday dinner place, and I always mock her for it, but always leave satisfied.
I will recommend you avoid Mr. Mike's (smaller Canadian chain) up in Creekside. Nothing special, pricies similar to The Keg for less quality, a lost reservation that put our group in the bar side, pretty long wait for the entrees, and overcooked steak. I set the bar plenty low enough, I am pretty easy to please, but was disappointed with that one. Maybe just a bad day, but I'm not in a rush to go back. Silver lining - your kids could run amok and nobody would even notice in the loud bar side!
