Wasn't Bariss blown up by a walker during Order 66? Or is that non-cannon these days?
Spoiler!
It was cut from the movie and never shown so its not even legends Canon. Basically the only cut scene from that movie was Bariss talking to wookies.
The books that she was in are all legends.
In fact the last that we saw of her in anything Canon was confessing to the bombing at the Jedi Temple and attacking Ashoka.
her last quote
"
I did it. Because I've come to realize what many people in the Republic have come to realize, that the Jedi are the ones responsible for this War. That we've so lost our way that we have become villains in this conflict, that we are the ones that should be put on trial, all of us! And my attack on the Temple was an attack on what the Jedi have become: an army fighting for the dark side, fallen from the Light that we once held so dear. This Republic is failing! It's only a matter of time.
"
If you go by that, it was felt she was already corrupted and probably ended up serving the end of the war in Imperial Custody.
Her master Luminara was executed as seem in Rebels, so it wouldn't take much to really twist her to the Dark side.
If she is an Inquisitor she'd be a very powerful one, the Inquisitor that we saw last year was on the level of Kanan who is a guy that never completed his training. Barriss was pretty much a Jedi Knight.
The other possibility is Ventress who was already far on the dark side, and still alive at the end of the Clone Wars. Plus Vader would be very familiar with her.
