For the first time this season, all four teams with Flames prospects were in action on Friday night.

It was not a good night for Jon Gillies or the Providence Friars as they visited the #3 ranked North Dakota No Names. Gillies was given the hook after allowing 4 goals on 24 shots in two periods. The final score was 6-1 for UND. John Gilmour played his first game of the season and tallied an assist on Providence's lone goal. Mark Jankowski is still nursing the upper-body injury he sustained in their first game and didn't make the trip. The two teams play again tomorrow night.

Two Flames prospects went head-to-head tonight in Boston as the BU Terriers faced the Michigan State Spartans. It was a low-scoring affair that saw the Terriers win 1-0. DeBlouw and Hickey both only got onto the scoresheet in the penalty column. DeBlouw went to the box twice, and Hickey was sent once. DeBlouw went 5 for 10 on faceoffs. Both teams are in action again tomorrow, but not against each other. MSU travels to UMass-Lowell and BU hosts Michigan.

Colgate continued their strong start to the season with a 5-2 win over Sacred Heart. It was the biggest game of Tim Harrison's college career so far. He had 1 goal and 1 assist for his first two-point game. Harrison's first college goal was scored on the powerplay and stood up as the game winner. The two teams play each other again tomorrow afternoon.
