The NCAA regular season got underway tonight...

BU was on the road at Massachusetts, and laid a beat-down on the home team, winning 8-1. Future first rounder, Jack Eichel had a 4 point third period for the Terriers, with 2 goals and 2 assists. Hickey was held off the score sheet but finished the night with a +4 rating.

Providence made the trek to Columbus to open their season against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Gilmour didn't play, still nursing an injury sustained during the Flames rookie camp. Jankowski got one assist in the game. Gillies stopped 20 of 25 shots. Three PP goals against in the third and OT were the Friars' undoing, dropping the game 5-4. The two teams play again tomorrow night.

Colgate is currently still playing. Late in the second, Colgate leads St Cloud 2-1. Harrison has not been on the score sheet.

MSU isn't playing this weekend.

The Gaudreau/Arnold/Hayes-less BC Eagles dropped their season opener to UMass Lowell 5-2.
