Ok but with Lucic we're not even talking about a buyout or an assignment right now. Abdelkader is considerably worse to the point where Detroit might be the only team where he'd be in the lineup. He's being paid $1 million less than Lucic for the same amount of time and is already where people are projecting Lucic to be when his contract expires.
