I think a lot of fans have a clear bias against Smith and a favorable bias for Rittich, and are quick to attack anyone who shows a favorable bias for Smith.
Bias is almost unavoidable. It's really difficult to stay objective when you're so pissed that Smith has cost you so many points in the past, even though as you said it's now kind of a toss-up.
Start whoever is winning.
