Yeah, instead he would hold on to expiring contracts "on principle" to show the Flames wouldn't be pushed around, then draft no talent coke machines because of how he played the game. Burke had his moments, but he did nothing to make this team better in any shape or fashion. In fact, he used people in the organization as scapegoats for lack of success. Never liked those individuals in management and could see through their BS. I liked that he was willing to stand up for the team and be public about concerns, but as far as running the team worth a damn he was inconsequential. Burke did nothing to make the team better. Feaster did leave the tea better than what he was left with.
