Soldering isn't too hard, but you could also just twist them together with a marette. It's not ideal, but this is for your rear in-ceiling speakers, so it's probably not as big a deal. Try it first, worst case scenario you may have to just run some additional cables... It's strange that they didn't run it in such a way it could be pulled out. If it could you can just attach the new cable to the old cable when you pull it out.
I buy most of my cable from Monoprice or blue jeans cables.
