Term is quite important in determining value. Kadri has twice the term.
And I don't think it makes much sense to trade Hamonic (although his lower cap hit makes more sense for the Leafs). He actually wants to be in Calgary and will probably re-sign when his contract finishes.

Leafs are looking to drop cap so a straight swap doesn't help them as much as an extra million between Brodie/hamonic.
Hamonic is better, so has more value.
Leafs were very much interested in hamonic before he was dealt to Calgary.
Hamonic rumours were out there but all of a sudden dried up, almost as if the rumoured deal was taken off the table.
