I pay ~$150 a year for a package that includes a yearly inspection/cleaning/pad+filter replacement (for furnace and AC), priority on-call service, no "roll truck" charges, and a percentage off any installs.
The main benefit is that most AC warranties require yearly inspections by an authorized installer to stay valid.
