When you pull the fuelling nozzle off the pump you’ve grounded yourself (no more static charge). When you slide in and out of your vehicle you’re statically charged again and need to ground yourself. Static can ignite the fumes when you grab the nozzle.

I hope it goes without saying.... if this happens don’t pull the nozzle out like she did. Hit the emergency stop and leave it in.

That's why everyone should just drive a diesel! Half the time in the winter I dont even shut it off at the pump
