I grew up in Sundance, and in late 80's, Dana Murzyn, Gary Roberts, and McCowan all lived a few blocks from me. Tim Hunter was good friends with my older cousin and dropped by his Shawnessy house during parties.
The media hype around the players wasn't as big back then. I was really lucky to grow up when you could watch these guys play on Ch. 7, then see them wash their car in the drive way the next day.
