Me and my wife have separate accounts. She doesn't work so I just pay her monthly and myself monthly out of our company account. I pay all the bills and then we each get the same amount of 'spending' money. We like the separate accounts as it helps us track our individual spending and if we want to save up for something we can do it without the money just staying in 'the pot'.
Obviously no big spending decisions are made without the other. Probably anything over 300$ or if we need to go over our monthly cash.
