I've never sold a domain so I'm not sure the best way to sell.
I did have a name that infringed on a trademark that I wasn't aware of when I registered it. I received an email from the company's legal department stating to release the domain or they would pursue legal action.
Wouldn't really deter me from registering a name in the off chance that a company offered to buy it from me instead of going the legal route.
