Gillies will be 26 this season with a pretty underwhelming AHL career thus far.

To put that into perspective, he's 6 months younger than Jordan Binnington, who made the show after putting up a .926 last year in the AHL and a .927 before his call-up this year.

Gillies put up a .889 sv% in the AHL at 25 years old. Time to read the tea leaves. He's a long shot at this point.
