Regardless, he took a big step last game IMO. He was determined and assertive. I want to see him continue to defend hard, skate hard, pass the puck hard and shoot it hard. Just be intense but not tense if you know what I’m saying. Get in there!!

This is right. His goal last night was something I've never seen him do - win a puck battle, use stick strength, then aggressively move up ice and use his effective shot.
His reach and size are assets. He needs to be effective with his stick. He doesn't need to slam guys, just be hard on the puck and hard to stop when he has it. That was what was nice about his goal.
