Backlund helped Tkachuk become the player everybody thinks Tkachuk is, let’s agree on that.
As for the Muzzin thing, he was in the corner after 60, some of his teammates had no way to see that and most were leaving the ice. Blatant disrespect by Muzzin for sure. Tkachuk took his couple of swings, most players didn’t see it. Nothing more was going to happen after the game was over. He can take a number, there are plenty of games against Toronto ahead, grow up and get over it until it’s time where he can do something about it.
Sure, you can be pissed off. You have to channel your energy to something productive. Let’s see how he plays against Toronto.
I’ve seen his pre playoff interviews, and I’ve seen his playoff play. The guy’s play when it matters has a long way to go before it catches up to his attitude.
He’s young, but he’s now experienced. Time to get serious and be a pro.
I’d like to see him show up every night. At least more often than not
