I don't know if Costco changed something in their ingredients around 3 or 4 years ago but I can't eat Costco muffins anymore without destroying my gut. In the past, I bought the muffins on pretty much every trip to Costco but now I only buy them once every three or four months and I regret it every time afterwards.
I eat lots of other pastry, cakes and cookies without issue so it must be something that has changed in the muffins.
