A lanky forward, he is a fun player to watch due to his unpredictability. Anything can happen when the Slovak is on the ice. He plays with emotion and passion and compete. He is an interesting prospect, and he's somewhat flying under the radar. He's definitely not afraid to venture into the gritty areas of the rink and mix it up - he didn't register 253 penalty minutes (and 37 points) in 49 games by accident. Tosses the flippers on a very regular basis, as far as the USHL is concerned, with no fear. An emotional player to say the least. But he is also a guy that can be counted on to play top-line minutes. Has skill to compliment his emotional physicality. He can handle the middle of the ice on the power play and work like a dog on the penalty kill as he displays a high-level of tenacity towards the puck. His complete game does need some fine-tuning, but that will come in future years. At the collegiate level, he could work out some of the kinks. His skillset is intriguing and his ability to shoulder bottom-line responsibilities makes him an intriguing commodity. Plenty to like. Going forward, he could end up being a heart-and-soul player at the pro levels. Tested very well at the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in several categories, and is set to head off to St. Lawrence University next season. A potential sleeper pick.
