Public Mobile, like Koodo, is a Telus owned MNVO. They all use the same network.
And Telus is fine outside the major centres. Probably has the best coverage overall, really.
For me, however, Freedom is fine, and I'm on a friends and family plan. So even if I do end up eating roaming fees if I travel, it's still far cheaper than even Public Mobile overall.
