Since I have pretty much stopped with NHL hockey for the year, I have definitely noticed a steep drop-off in the number of obnoxious commercials I am subjected to. Interesting to note how certain stations gear towards certain demographics - lots of cleaning-product ads on FoodTV - but generally I've noticed there isn't nearly the level of nauseating repetition for commercials on any other channel or program that there is for hockey. Certainly sponsorship must be the biggest factor but damn... Telus might want to know that I will never buy their product because of their ad campaign.
I'm in non-not-nook-people bliss.
