I never saw this thread before and I'm not going to lie, that made me tear up a bit! I call my cat my "Handsome Lil Buddy" every day coming home. So it kinda hit a soft spot to read this.
I haven't read the whole thread so I don't really know if there was an outcome to it all but do what you feel is right and that is all you can do. I would hate to watch someone/thing I love be in pain all the time!
