They should use whatever mapping system tennis uses for their challenges - do a CGI map of the rink. Have the ability to wipe away everything but the position of the puck in relation to Player X's skate.
Challenges in tennis take 2 seconds. Everyone immediately knows if the ball is in or out, and nobody argues about it after.
Put that on the blue line or get rid of these stupid challenges altogether.
The addition of this delay of game penalty is long overdue.
