I was going to hand out candy, because I don't think it's a big covid risk. Close contact is 15 minutes or more, whereas handing out candy probably takes 15 seconds.

Then I remembered that I hate handing out candy. I have dogs that bark, my house is open concept, so it's hard to block them from the door, my house is still under repair from the hail storm and currently doesn't have a front outdoor light... it's just a pain. So I printed the no candy poster and will re-use it every year, as long as I can!

As for putting candy out in a bowl, I believe that is not recommended. If you can't / don't want to use a candy slide or tongs, then it's probably best for only you to touch it (with clean hands) instead of everyone who comes by putting their hands in the bowl.
