My Sony TV uses Android; the secondary remote control uses voice and the recognition quality is very high.
Everyone uses that when they are searching youtube for video because typing stuff just takes too long.
Having said that, using voice recognition on Kinect/Xbox One or using the above remote control to change channels is never used in my house because it is easier to punch 3 channel numbers on the remote, or to one touch a guide and then scroll through either the pvr or live broadcasts...and then enter to watch.
I don't see the advantage of voice control to change channels.
