It also would have happened a lot later in the day than 4:15.
That was an eventful year: Flames beat the Canucks in the playoffs, Hartley and Hudler won at the NHL awards, the Hamilton trade at the Draft, Oilers with the cringiest first overall pick at the Draft.
None of those things happened on June 15th, though.
