Seriously doubt the insurance company cares at all, it’s just another claim. OP had the choice on how to pay for the tow and might wind up paying more in the long run.
Just like a door ding fixed under insurance, well you could have paid for it some other way. Or if you chose to settle an accident through insurance, you could have been settled without the claim.
