The Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers in the 2019 NFL opener at Soldier Field on Sept. 5. This will be the second consecutive year the Packers and Bears have met in their respective season openers. Last year, the Packers rallied from 17-0 deficit to win 24-23 at Lambeau Field. Including playoffs, the Packers and Bears franchises have met 198 times, the most common matchup in NFL history. The Packers own a 97-95-6 edge in the series. The Bears won the last meeting between the two teams last season, and haven't won consecutive games against the Packers since 2007.
