Mimi was speaking of skeleton and I don't disagree at all. Carding funding is super low for their team and it is sad they have to self fund, get 2nd jobs, and rely on a small support team. Runners are expensive but again look at the most successful skelly athlete on the planet- Martin's Dukurs is Latvian, not a beneficiary of German tech.
And the question was whether Friedrich won simply due to "superior" German tech. And the answer is no because Canada drives decent quality BTC sleds.
The bobsleigh part of BSC does get decent funding compared to other sports. And Kripps did go to the test event - he came in 4th in both races. De bruin had a bronze and a 4th and Appiah had a bronze and an 8th.
So like I said - unlike what Mark Lee kept trying to hammer - Friedrich wins because he is good, not simply because he gets good runners.
