Made sense to stop the race for safety but I don't get how the impacted skater got to continue. Your equipment broke and you fell over, that's it you're out.
Also was stupid to restart from the beginning making it a 1500m race. Needed to restart with 5 laps to go or something like car racing where the skaters stay in order and restart on a green flag.
