Yes, and the world's gotten better. IIRC, mixed doubles was announced to debut in 2018 fairly late in the process, maybe in 2016? So countries, including Canada, really only had 2 years to prepare. And perhaps Morris and Lawes won on pure talent. But 4 years later, countries train and have specialists. Bruce Mouat, the best player in the world right now, is barely going to sneak a bronze in this event.
